Day 21: Ask for Support From Family and Friends

Many of the people who are available in our social circle may not know the burdens that weigh heavy on our hearts. This sad fact is evidenced by the increased reporting of loneliness in our society. The average American has only one close friend. Especially men seem to suffer from loneliness, often reporting having less than one close friend. 

We’re competitive and individualistic. We like to put up a disguise and show that we are doing great even when we’re not. Remember, most of us created the friendships we do have out of sharing our weaknesses and vulnerabilities. This is where we really can connect.

It may take courage but ask for support from family and friends.
